Troubleshooting

Following are the most frequently asked questions regarding Duke Nukem: Time to Kill and the recommended solutions for each:

"My Duke Nukem: Time to Kill CD has become scratched or damaged… how can I get a replacement?"

"My CD is not scratched, but my PlayStation® game console seems to have trouble reading it. What can I do?"

Check the Underside of the CD for smudges or debris that may be keeping your PlayStation® game console from reading it. If the CD is not completely clean, your system may not be able to data that's essential for running the game.

Most computer stores carry inexpensive CD-ROM cleaning kits that will safely restore your CD. If you want to try cleaning the CD without a kit, you can wash the CD using lukewarm water, MILD NON-ABRASIVE dish soap, and a very soft and clean COTTON cloth. Do NOT use any kind of paper product or abrasive soap to clean the CD, as these WILL scratch! Once the CD is clean, be sure to let the CD dry completely before inserting it into your PlayStation® game console, or damage may result.

If your CD looks clean, and your system still has trouble reading it, you may have a problem with your PlayStation® game console itself. Please check your PlayStation® game console documentation for details.

"The solution given for level 4, "Guns and Gold" in the official Duke Nukem Time to Kill Strategy Guide is incorrect. How do I finish the level?"

The strategy guide's solution for this level is incorrect. The correct solution is as follows:

    1. Exit the room with the elevator and you'll come to some railroad tracks that overlook a deep pit with lava in it.
    2. Kill all the enemies and then cross one of the bridges to get to the other side.
    3. Turn left off the bridge, and then follow the rocky path until you are directly across from a fallen bridge that starts from the other side of the pit.
    4. Look down to see a ledge with atomic health and a jet pack on it, and an open door to the right of that below.
    5. You have to make a running jump from off the ledge you are on to make it to the ledge below.
    6. Once there, grab the atomic health and the jetpack.
    7. Use the jetpack to go through the open door
    8. Follow the path up, kill the enemies and turn off the gun.

Once you have done this, you can resume using the strategy guide.
