Minimum System Requirements

The minimum system requirements for Casper are:

  • An IBM or 100% compatible
  • Pentium 75 or better processor
  • Windows 95
  • A Super VGA display adapter in 256 color mode
  • A 16-bit sound card
  • A 4-speed or faster CD-ROM drive
  • 16 MB of RAM
  • 30 megabytes of free hard disk space
  • A Pentium 100 or faster is recommended

All other programs should be turned off before attempting to run the game.

Installation

To install Casper to your system:

  1. Close all open programs and then
  2. Insert the Casper CDROM into your CDROM drive
  3. Click on the Start button, then on Run
  4. Type in D:\setupex.exe and click on OK. If your CD-ROM drive is not assigned to the letter D, substitute the appropriate letter
  5. Then just follow the on-screen instructions
  6. Choose Restart when prompted to do so

Uninstall

To remove Casper from your system:

  1. Click on the Start button, then on Settings, then on Control Panel
  2. Now double click on Add/Remove Programs
  3. You will see a list of programs that are currently installed in Windows 95/98
  4. Click once on Casper, then click on Remove. Casper will now be removed from your system.

Troubleshooting

"The Game locks up at the Grandfather Clock."
    If the game locks up when you set the time on the Grandfather Clock, you have gone past the time needed. The game is not set up for this. You will need to restart the game. When you get back to the Grandfather Clock after restarting the game, set the Clock to exactly 11:15. If you go past this time it will lock up again.
Other problems:
