Determining your version of Windows
To determine what version of Windows your PC is running:
  1. Click the Start menu in the lower left hand corner of your screen.
  2. Click Run.
  3. In the Run box, type control and click OK. This should bring up the Control Panel.
  4. Double-click the System icon. If you don't see this icon, click the link that says Switch to Classic View then click the System icon. This will bring up the System Properties window.
  5. On the General tab, there is a section that says System. Directly below this it will list what platform or operating system you are running.
