"Where do I get the essence idols?"
The order is found on the tablet you get from Shamaz Mazum. Do the first three, then the steps will rise at the main temple. Here's the location of the idols:
Fae in Eluee temple
Eluee in Ka temple
Ka in Ghanda temple
Ghanda into Fae temple
"How do I get past the blue barrier in Shamazaar?"
If it is your first time in Shamazaar do not worry about the blue barrier, when the time is right you will be able to get past.
"Why are the soldiers so tough?"
The soldiers are so tough because they are fully supplied. Talk to Maar and see if he can clue you in about how to stop riss production. In each area you will be able to weaken the soldiers by stopping certain resources.
