Hints & Tips

  • Be sure to read the manual. Majesty's control system is unique, and therefore not typical of other real-time strategy games.

  • Remember that you cannot control your people directly. In this game you are the king, but do not have absolute power. You can only influence your people, not force them to do your bidding. To do this, click on the Palace, the on Reward. Decide which type of Reward you want to give, set a gold amount, click the reward button, and click the area on the Main Map where you want your people to explore or attack. Buildings, enemies, and creatures can all be attacked.

  • Be sure to build a Marketplace and a Trade Outpost early on, in order to get more money with which to build, recruit, and reward. A Blacksmith is important early on in the game as well, so your troops can buy better weapons and armor.

  • Upgrade your buildings often. This allows you to build more, sell better items to your people, and protect yourself better. You must have four Heroes to upgrade your Palace to level two, and twelve Heroes to update your Palace to level three.

  • Elves, Gnomes, and Dwarves do not get along well. You can have only Elves, Gnomes or Dwarves in your city at any one time, in addition to Humans. Also, some Temples, Churches, and Cults will not share a city.

  • Check out the bottom of the screen when your mouse pointer is over an object. You will get a synopsis of the object. Most Buildings have question mark buttons in the information area, where you can get more information.

  • Wizard Towers extend the range of Wizard Guild Spells. The mini-map will show the range of the Wizard Towers. Also, use the mini-map to see what belongs to you and what belongs to your opponents.

  • Do not be concerned if buildings appear in your city automatically. Your people will build certain types of buildings on their own.
