Minimum System Requirements

The minimum system requirements for Jack Nicklaus 4 are:

  • Any Power Macintosh
  • A CD-ROM drive
  • At least 16MB RAM
  • System 7.5.3 or higher
  • At least 100 MB free hard drive space
  • A color monitor with a minimum of thousands of colors at 640 x 480 resolution
  • Virtual Memory and screen savers should be turned off before play

Please note: If your system meets but does not exceed these requirements, Jack Nicklaus 4 may have choppy animation, or the sound or video may hesitate.

Installation

To install Jack Nicklaus 4 on your system:

  1. Close all open windows on your screen
  2. Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive
  3. Double-click on the JNG_4 icon to open the CD-ROM window
  4. Double-click on the Nicklaus 4 Installer icon to install the game
  5. Then simply follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation

Uninstallation

To remove Jack Nicklaus 4 from your system, double click on your hard drive, then drag the Jack Nicklaus Golf folder to the Trash.

Player unable to control swing direction:

There is a small misprint in the manual, stating that you need to hold down the <Option> key and move the mouse to control the direction of swing. You should actually hold down the <Control> key while moving the mouse to activate this function.

Other

There are no other known problems with Jack Nicklaus 4. If you are having problems, try the following solutions:

  1. Check to make sure that your system meets or exceeds the minimum system requirements for Jack Nicklaus 4. If your system meets these requirements, but does not exceed them, video or sound may be hesitant.
  2. Make sure that all other programs, including screen savers and virus scanning software, are turned off.
  3. Make sure virtual memory is turned off.
  4. Some software titles may have extension conflicts with Jack Nicklaus 4. Turn off all extensions that you are not currently using.
