Duke arrives in LA to find the aliens have messed with his history real good. Time to kick some alien butt.…..
Your goal is to find and activate the alien time portal, to allow you to go back in time and correct all the wrongs they have done.
First you need to get into the subway system.
Cap the pig cop that's patrolling the subway entrance. He's got a key to allow you in.
Go to the end of the tracks, enter the utility room and activate the power switch.
Go back and enter the office on the platform, where you can send the train on its way.
Down the new passage, blow up the gas tanks to enter the next area.
One of those Drak's on the stairs has the Transport Room ID you need later.
You know need to collect three crystals to power the time portal.
Keep turning right through the tunnels and you come to the room with the red crystal.
Head back and take first right, go straight over large room, keep on and you'll get green crystal.
As you retrace your steps go straight ahead through the new tunnel.
Go into large room with crates, take ground level exit (should be on right). (Surprise is above this room accessible through dark tunnel area)
Keep going through first room with water valve to end room.
Turn water valve then head back to previous one and turn that.
Now drop into water below and swim through passage to room with blue crystal.
Head back to transporter room, quickest way is the high up exit from the crate room.
Power up with crystals and your on your way!

The aliens are converting all the Californian gold into lead to render it worthless and cause a huge disturbance in the shifts of time across Earth's astral plane.
You need to activate various levers to open up new areas of the mine and gain access to lower levels.
Turn around and head to the end of the passage, where you will find a lever to activate.
Retrace your steps. Now you will be able to go into a new passage on your left.
To your left there is a cavern with the second lever to pull. Ignore the long tunnel for now.
Go back, heading right, to find a new passageway and go through it.
At the end of here you'll find a skeleton key.
Now head back and left, but this time, go straight through the long tunnel with the wooden pathway.
At the end, you turn right and you'll come out into a large room of steel gratings.
Use the skeleton key on the locked gateway directly ahead and on you go.
You'll eventually come out into a water logged cavern.
To cross this you'll need to jump and grab across a series of platforms.
Ahead, take the first left and left again to emerge in a new area (21).
As you head deeper down you'll find a long dark corridor. There area two right turns hear that bring you out into the core mining area (38).
You need to get to a hole in the ground on the other side. To do this you can either suspend yourself from the top grating, or drop down and avoid the drill bits.
Straight ahead you'll now emerge into a huge cavern (42).
From here follow the cavern to the left and get to high ground. A jetpack is very useful here.
As you head down the next tunnel with the rolling boulders, you'll be dropped down into water.
Swim straight ahead, through the next room into the last one (51) where you can climb up a ladder onto the rail track suspended above.
Secret Areas
By the first switch and the pig, in the water.
In hallway before room with water and jumps above grab the ladder
Where the sloping ramps are before the big grinder, climb up the mesh
Right after the grinder, turn around and walk into the darkness
In the cavern, swim to the end at the bottom
Top of the cavern and this has the Challenge pick-up
OK, now you've infiltrated deep into the core of the alien mining operation. Time to shut those dastardly Gold Conversion Guns down.
Duke needs to shut off all 3 active Gold Conversion Guns by powering them down, then get to the elevator and make his way back to the surface.
Head through the first room into the next one (1) and you'll see the elevator ahead that will be your way out of the level later.
Head right and you'll come out into a deep cavern with lava at the bottom (49,53).
Cross over and take the exit at the other end from you.
Jump over a pool of water (you'll be diving into it soon) and you should be at the entrance to a large cavern with a pulley across.
You can use the pulley by grabbing onto it and shooting the wall panel on the far side. Alternatively you can just jetpack over to the other side.
Follow through one room into the next one where the first Gold Gun is.
Shut it down by pressing the green wall panel so it goes red.
Retrace your steps back to the water pool and drop down. From this direction you need to swim to the right.
Climb out of the water into a new area (31) and head down the left tunnel, take the left tunnel from the next room as well.
Keep going through the room with the pillars and down the long tunnel and turn right at the very end.
Finally you emerge in a room with lava and a Gold Gun (55). The best way to get to the off switch is to make your way clock-wise around the room, keeping to the lower level.
Retrace your steps right back to the original deep cavern with the lava (49,53). The way involves going back through the water passage and climbing out the first opening.
Now cross back over to the other side of the cavern. To your right you need to blow a new hole by shooting some TNT barrels.
Go through the newly exposed tunnel and you'll find the last Gold Gun (15) to power down.
You can take a shortcut back to the elevator by continuing down the next tunnel until you get to another wall with TNT barrels.
Do the business on them and come out into the elevator room (1), activate the door and move on out.
You have one more task to do before you can head back to the future and see if normality has been restored. Do it Duke-style to that robot Boss and show those aliens what a bunch of wussies they are.
What the heck? Seems Duke's good work wasn't enough, what he's going to have to do here is go back, way back, into time and see what else has been meddled with.
Find the 3 crystals, locate the alien time portal device and go back in time once again.
First you need to climb up the ladder in the alley.
Go into the room that used to be the Dominatrix pad in Level 1 (8) and collect a warehouse key from the wardrobe.
Enter the warehouse guns-a-blazing and head down the corridor to your left.
Take the second right. This room contains the green crystal (18).
Go back out to the left and left again into the first room you passed. From here you can climb up into a passage and head up.
You should come out onto a gantry and see an exit that you can jump to if you grab the edge.
Down this passage you come to deep opening (55). At the very bottom is the red crystal. You'll also need to grab the jetpack to get back up.
Head back to the gantry but this time drop down. You'll need to use the green crystal to activate that conveyor belt switch (23,24). Don't worry, you'll be back later to recollect it.
Follow the conveyor Belt out into a large room that houses massive alien toxic processing tanks (51) and head out though the next conveyor belt you see (up one of the ladders).
Now you should be in a room with 3 holes in the floor. You need to go down the left one. (The far right one has the Challenge).
Keep going straight ahead and dropping down until you come to a junction with a ladder to the left and a water entrance. You need to take the ladder up.
Through the re-entry point, climb Duke up and out into the great outdoors (62,63).
Out here, you need to find the green Dumpster against a wall and push it to one side, revealing a concealed entrance. Down here is the blue crystal (77).
Get back outside and locate another hole in the corner that you haven't been down yet.
Follow this corridor and along the conveyor belt, then jump onto the ledge with the door that is to your right, before the flaming corridor (33).
Open this door and head through and up. Don't take the ladder but exit to your left and your back in the toxic tank room.
Take the conveyor belt exit to your left and you'll be able to recollect the green crystal (18).
Now you have all three crystals, go back exactly the way you just came to where that conveyor belt entered the fire (33).
Negotiate your way down the gauntlet of fire and there's the Time Portal. Place the crystals and adieu.
Challenge-In the right hole of three-hole room beyond the vat room.
Seems the plan this time is to wipe out the Duke's forefathers in an attempt to destroy his lineage.
Even worse, the aliens have him running around in a kilt.
Gain access to the castle grounds, collect the 3 jewels and get into the castle proper. Please note.
Take a swim in the moat and head around the right side and through the tunnel.
You should emerge into an area with a stone bridge (15) where you can climb out of the water.
Cross over the bridge and pull the lever. This lowers the main drawbridge into the castle.
Now drop back into the water and keep swimming around the castle. Through the long tunnels you will find another open area where you can climb out (7). On one side there is a room straight ahead and a stairway to the right. At the bottom of the stairway is a Nukem block.. The jewel is at the top of the stairs.
Now drop down into the water below and head back to the drawbridge.
This was your starting point of the level and now you can cross into the castle grounds.
Straight ahead is the main gate into the castle but you need to climb up into the roof above it. Here you will find the second t Von Nukem family jewel (28).
Either open the main door with the key, or facing the gate, head right. In the castle wall you should locate a stone block with the Nukem family symbol on it (it's between two bales of straw). Push this and you gain access to a room inside the castle (55).
To your left is another Nukem block that you can pull out to get into the main castle.
Now go straight ahead and climb up the chains in the big tall room. In the Duke's bedroom you'll find the 3rd crystal. Keep going up to the top.
Head up into the room with the stone floor (38). Straight ahead is a small hole that you can drop down onto some rafters.
All the way to the bottom and place the jewels in the Nukem wheel. A door will open.
Head through here to the end of the level. You action a book in the secret library to get to the level exit.
Those aliens could never take out the Nukem family in an all out assault. Their plan is to wipe out the whole region by unleashing a toxic plague of biblical proportions.
Head deep into the castle to locate and drain the alien's supplies of toxins.
Go into the room with the guillotine and toxic barrels. Grab the bio-mask. Go and find the ledge that overlooks a long lava pool
Jump down into the water you see below and swim through. Activate the bio-mask before you climb out into the toxic room (23).
Turn the valve to temporarily drain the toxins and open the gate to your left and head through it.
At the end of this winding tunnel is a ladder that you have to jump and grab. Head up.
You'll arrive at a prison stockade (5). Just switch the lever to the far right and keep heading through and over the long lava walkway.
Now you're in a lava room with switches either side. Activate these to drop the gate and keep on keepin' on.
You should arrive in a room with steel scaffolding and raised toxic tanks (16). You need to climb up to the very top and shoot ye olde pig cop who will drop the gantry key. (in the room leading to this is the Challenge pick up)
Locate the closed gantry with they keyhole next to it and use the gantry key.
Go through to the toxic room. Use a bio-mask if you have one but shoot ye olde pig cop who will drop a valve key and then turn the valve that is there.
Retrace your steps and straight ahead is a switch for the valve key. This releases the valve and you can then drain all the toxins.
Now head back up to the higher gantry that will now have dropped to allow you to exit the level.
Some Secret Places
In one of the cells behind a block
After the two-switch gate, below the walkway in the next room, contains Challenge
You have those bastard aliens on the run. Pursue them into Church Von Nukem and convert them to Dukism.
Find your way into the church and locate the alien portal to take you home.
Head through either side corridor and find the main library (19).
You should notice a book poking out of one of the shelves. If Duke pulls this it reveals the secret doorway to his church.
Once you've swum through the waterlogged passage, you'll emerge in some underground tunnels. Head straight, ignoring the left and right passageways and into the room with the deep pool that leads into a water tunnel (18).
Emerging from the other side, climb up into the rear of the church. You will need to shoot out the grate above.
By the entrance you just climbed out of, there is a ledge you can pull yourself onto. From here, climb up the subsequent ladder into the bell-tower (59).
Now shatter the stained glass ahead to drop down into the main church.
Behind the altar is the time portal.
Before you can get back to LA, you'll have to defeat the winged boss that faces you.
This is Duke's kind of town. Romans know how to party. First he has to find out what those jokers are doing here.
Find your way deep into the city.
Keep left as you head through the city and you'll find the entrance to the villa.
Head through and you'll come to some steps down with a door on the right. Ignore the doorway for now and head down.
You'll need to negotiate though the corridor of flames to get to a room that contains a skeleton key (14). There are safe spots in the fire corridor where you can stop so don't panic.
Now head back up and take that original doorway you passed earlier. It's now on your left at the top of the steps.
Head straight through the next room to the bathing room (18). Use the skeleton key on the left keyhole to open a grating in the pool behind you. Now you need to head down there.
Emerge the other side and head left. You'll come out into a room with a bridge with more threatening flames (24). On the other side is another skeleton key. Grab this and return to the first bathing room (18).
Use this skeleton key on the other key hole and drop down into through the passage from that pool.
As you swim through the tunnel, take the right passage and follow this to climb out.
Drop down into the water (45) and make your way through the series of passageways, until you reach a ladder up. Now go through the red room (35) and get onto the ledge ahead.
Through the water, there is a passage to your left. At the other end, through the double doors is the exit to the level.
Their dastardly plan revealed. The alien fiends are training up crack troops using the Roman Empire as a backdrop for their military maneuvers.
Head straight to the core of there operation.
Keep heading straight ahead and you'll come to a closed gate.
To your left is the Bootius Maximus (9). 'Et tu bootay?' Find the skeleton key to go back and open the gate.
As you head up the carpeted area you turn right and ahead is the Gladiator Arena (20).
You need to clean out all the alien warriors before your allowed to leave.
Through the new passage is a maze you need to negotiate.
From the entrance go first left, right, over lava then right, left, grab the jet pack to your right and head left. At the end, to your right, you should emerge outdoors in front of a huge lava moat.
You need to drop the drawbridge over the moat to enter the alien villa. There are 3 levers for this around the lava moat and you'll need your jet pack.
Fly clock-wise (go left) around the moat. The first lever is on a small ledge against the left wall, around the first corner and between two arches (36).
The next lever is on the right wall as you continue to head clock-wise. Around the first corner and just before the second. It's on a small ledge (33). On your way you will pass under a bridge. This leads into a room (25) where you can grab another jet pack. Opposite this is you will see a small room where you can collect another jetpack.
The last lever is around the next corner, under the arch and on a ledge against the left wall.
Now you can keep going until you get back to the main drawbridge.
Finally you've found the epicenter of the disgusting alien operation. Defeat them for the last time and maybe then you can get back to the good life.
Use the portals to find the exit.
You start off in a room with 4 time portals. Don't move until you decide which portal to take.
To avoid confusing yourself, work clock-wise and mark the portal by destroying the barrel near it. This way you will know which portals you have already travelled through.
Each level you port into will have an exit concealed somewhere. You need to find this to get back to the main room. Once you've been through all portals the last one will take you to the final exit area.
Good Luck this is a tough level but you're on your own. Once you're done you will meet the Final Boss. His name is Moloch, he likes darts.
