Please note: You may need a file compression utility such as WinZip or StuffIt to install some of these patches. Please see each individual page for specific directions.
Most patches will contain a "ReadMe" file, which contains information about new features and fixes.
If the part number of your CD (located at the bottom of the CD label, below the Infogrames logo) does NOT have the letter “A” at the end of it, you have an older version.
Determine what version of the patch you need. On the Main Menu screen, the version of the game is displayed in the lower left corner. If you have version 1.00, you need the patch named "DDOZENPATCH-100-103.ZIP" If you have Version 1.01, you need "DDOZENPATCH-101-103.ZIP" Most people will have Version 1.01.
If you cannot get the game to run in order to determine which version you have, look at the game CD. If the part number at the bottom ends in "A" (as in "04-22844CDSLA"), you have Version 1.01. If the "A" is missing, you have Version 1.00.
Click on the appropriate link to download the patch version that you need. Be warned that the 1.00-1.03 patch is very large and can take more than 2 hours to download over a 56K modem connection. If this makes downloading the patch impossible, please contact us by using the button at the bottom of this page and we can send you the patch on disc.
Click the "Save" or "Save File" button. Save the file to a location you will remember, preferably your Desktop.
Installation Instructions:
The patch is distributed as a .ZIP file, which means the contents are compressed. You will need to extract the contents of the ZIP file into a temporary folder before the patch can be installed. The best way to do this is to right-click anywhere on the open Desktop, select New, then Folder. An empty folder will appear called "New Folder" which you can extract the files into.
Extract all of the files in the .ZIP into this folder. Consult your .ZIP program's documentation if you don't know how to do this.
Open this folder, which should now have files in it. Locate the DDOZEN103.EXE file and double-click on it.
If you originally installed Deadly Dozen to the default directory, you can click Apply Patch and the patch will be applied. Otherwise, you will need to either type in the path to the folder you installed to, or click Browse and navigate to it., and then click Apply Patch.
When a window pops up that says "The patch file has been applied successfully", click OK. This can take a while, so be patient.
Congratulations! You're done. You may delete your temporary folder, and the .ZIP file you downloaded.
