if the bullet is big enough in mass to survive the transition into space and given enough volicity - i.e. straping a rocket onto it, it could head towards the sun but here comes the problem of what you mean by 'shoot' :)

Anything flung at the sun will most likly never survive to hit any surface and be burned up so if shooting you mean entering the atmosphere..well the sphere of flame heh then yeah you could but hitting the ground with a 'bullet' appears currently to be impossible.. :)
