Hey just thinking we should put together a FAQ for the main forum and shove in what we ourselves wanted to find out. There is I know the main one on the menu bar to the top right with all this info in it but obviously people are simply not looking at it while it there was one on the forum it might actually be read *shrugs* Course it will be shadow or Kite who will do it but this will be most of the work done for them :)

My own suggestions :-

Question: How do I change my avatar?

Answer:
Unfortunatly, due to restrictions on Atari's new server, our avatars have been disabled...for the time being - however, I am striving to get them reinstated, even if it is just via text link and not actually upload :)
Question: How do I customize the text above my avatar?

Answer:
Enter into the user cp/control panal and select 'User Profile'. Half way down the page underneath your signature and birthday there is the option 'Custom User Text' and you are given the ability to type in a new title of at most 25 letters or you can use the defualt title.

Oh the new title I didnt mention it only seems to appear after a while cause wraith got it on only 25 posts so Im wondeirng if people simply missed it for awhile *shrugs*

Question : How do I change my e-mail address?

Answer : Enter your User CP, and click edit profile. At the top of the screen will be your current e-mail, and the e-mail confirmation box. Change both of these to the e-mail you want to change to, and click submit changes at the foot of the screen. This should prompt a message on screen asking you to check the new e-mail address you just changed to for confirmation. When you read the mail, follow the link, and you will be told that the change has been successful. If you are told that the e-mail is already used by someone, then ask me, and I'll tell you the secret!! MWAHAHA!

Owww! I just got an error message I've never seen before...it was a 502 connection error, and said that too many people were trying to access the page at once...even tho only two people were on that forum at the time :cool:

So if this happens to you...er, just press back, then try opening it agian, it should work :)

PS. Shadow mentioned that the European home page is gonna be updated soon...any more news, and will the forum go down for a bit?

Yeah, its as simple as that...over at the Atari forum, I had mine set to ''Invader from the .hack fourum'' ...which worked :/

To change sig to go User CP, then Edit Profile, and its a box in there
To change your member title go to Edit Profile, and its near the bottom...if it isnt there, keep posting, and it'll appear eventually ;)

-To Get A Pic In Your Sig;


First find a suitably sized picture. It can be either on your computer, or online. You could find one by googling for example. The size should be around 600x200 pixels, but as long as it isnt stupidly big, or it stretches the page, thats fine.

If its a pic on your PC you want, your best bet is to sign up to www.photobucket.com upload the pic there, and then you have a url (internet address) for it.

Now, go to your User CP, the click Edit Profile. One of the larger boxes is for adding things into your sig.

To make an image appear when you post a message you will need to enter;

[ img ] url of the pic goes here [ img ]
but with no gaps

Then hit submit modifications, and you have your sig pic :)

There arent any specific themes for sig pics, well if there is I missed it...

There is also a max length for sigs - if I have to scroll half the page to get to the next post prepare to be hunted down, drawn and quartered ;)

Me? I changed my name for a few reasons:

A) I got sick of being asked if I was "that Grim Reaper form [random site]", it turns out that it's a common username. TheDarkFlame is more different
B) I've changed since then, and my typical username changed as well.
C) I feel that this username is better.
