I listen to SkaPunkRock, and anything inbetween. Well, within reason, of course :)

I listen to alot of rock and nu metal, Sytem of a Down, Iron Maiden, Slipknot (Duality is probly one of their best songs I say) and usually end up shunning new bands... Which is anoying, sometimes they release some good stuff, but I never hear of it (my fingers are way too quick with the channel up button...)

aaaaanyway... i'm into electro/industrial/drum n bass/reggae/experimental noise/punkrock/old school punk/ska/japanese traditional music and bagpipe thingies. also i like some tracks off anime soundtracks, but just some... it's really a bit too naive to listen to all the time.

as for karaoke, i've only tried that once and i was singing the mighty mighty bosstones - the impression that i get. needless to say i was too disappointed to try it again :/

My love of them is simply the concerts - THOSE are what concerts are meant to be!

You go see any new pop band or whatever and they get up sing their songs and shit and cheer you on a bit but its nothing like being at these concerts - the atmosphere is entirely different the love of listening to the music and simply letting go you can feel while new bands its either all about the singer - look at the Eurovision this year for example :mad: - or being able to say "yeah I was there". Thats my own personal thoughts on it anyway :)

Iorn Maiden were just great when they came to Nottingham last year, it was great, I felt so lucky to be there, and couldn't hear anything for ages afterwards.... Does anyone else get that when they come out of a concert, you just can't hear anything, and you can't shout loud enough to hear yourself either

And yes, I have also suffered from post-gig deafness on a few occasions!

I wish I lived in a big city where decent bands came to play...the only good band to ever play where I'm from are King Prawn...man that was a good gig...

Yeh, Rock City is a very cool place, Ive been there once, but usually people just call the rig (its next to it) rock city, its where alot of people go every sunday, its great! :D

I like game music! I never bother to find out what its called or anything but i just love game music, even though if it came on a music channel I'd switch over straight away, its just great. Especially the really cheesy music, like for Space Invaders...

NO!! Rock does not rule!! And how could you even think about putting all the types of 'Rock' together and just summing it up? Rock is far too vague. Not to mention how cliched it is nowadays....look at the Darkness! Utter Crap!!!

And the reason that PunkRock is called that is cos its a whole mix of both, but sounds nothing like either....which is refreshing at the mo. I grew sick and tried of listening to mediocre shite long ago....you have to find that special niche of music, that is unheard by most...

And if anyone starts dissing Hardcore and/or Ska.... ;)

Rock is quite vague now, and some of it is just rubbish (Darkness) but it isn't all bad! Specially some of the older stuff, most of the new bands are so unoriginal I want to punch them (but not as badly as I want to punch the darkness, they're awfull).

i don't cos as a vegitarian i feel their vegitarian meals, are particualry bad, and you've got to wait for ages for them to be cooked, while your non-vegi friends are eating their meals, you have to wait, then they gotta wait for me!

That sounds anoying, they should have some of the vegitarian meals premade like the non-vegi ones. One of my friends was vegitarian for a while, but he couldn't keep it up, quorn didn't agree with his stomach

I wouldnt know, but they prob dont often have orders for the veggie meals so their not cooked as regurlarly as the non-veggie meals, but that would be a pain, just watching your mates eat while you wait, and them waiting while you eat!

i suppose they can't keep vegi - meals on stand by incase its not used quickly and they have to throw it away, but it is still a pain.

i thought be vegi would be difficult at first too, but it wasn't and now i can never go back.

i stopped eating red meat a very long time ago due to its what my mother decided, and as i came more indepdant, i felt eating animals was wrong, and then stopped when i didn't live with my mother anymore.

Eating animals does seem wrong sometimes, but I guess usualy it depends on the way theyre treated, I don't think I could be a vegitarian, when I do eat meat for a while I beggin to feel ill. Its not nice the way some animals are treated though, they stun them, wait for an hour, then come back and kill them, shoot them in the head.
My sister doesn't eat red meat anymore, becuase apparently it looks like human flesh (she would know, she worked in a morturey for a while).

I agree; while I don't mind eating meat, I try not to think about how it got on my plate. Humans can be unusually cruel in their treatment of other animals.

Well, we can make sure they're happy when they're alive (ie, stopping battery chicken farming and fish farms) and just kill them quickly when we need their meat.

And protien is needed, and thats gotten mainly form meat, but I think thats what Quorn is for

vitamins can be used to suplement what we don't get from meat, so there are alternatives. good point too about quorn being protein too!

Quorn is a meat substitute, it looks kinda like chicken (well whenever I've seen it it does!) and goes quite well with curries.

yes, it does look like chicken, but it doesn't have any real taste of its own, i agree its great in curries.
