Yes, you read right... it's my new concept for a manga, the wonderful world of fohxsenor!
As you can probably tell from the title, it involves members of the forum, the main characters being me, fox & Rory, but with other peeps as important characters as well (look out for Page & Shamay)
It's a giant robots manga, and although the title is a bit of a tacky rip-off of Rahxephon, it's not actually a parody... there are some quite serious plot twists in place... and hopefully I'll get the first few installments in place soon. Just waiting to get a free minute to go into town and buy a 'how to draw giant robots' book... lol.
Any questions about the concept/suggestions for your character, fire away!

Yeah, I thought of a good role for you, Mysty...
you're the way cool instructor lady that trained me, Rory and fox. You could kick pretty much anyone in a fight...
And yeah, you can design your own character, no probs, but you might end up in the uniform I'm designing for the pilots if that's OK!

Yeah frag, I'll have to pencil you in as one of the villains! Could be quite cool. I'll give you some trippy powers or something.
And yeah, Mysty you could probably do that... could be a cool idea for a subplot...
o..m..g... OK, just had an even better idea for a key subplot! :D

I'd offer to design my character too except i'm still not confident with my drawing skills and, more importantly, I still don't have a scanner. XD

First there's a couple of other things though...

Also, here's (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v704/ShiroHacker/fohxsenorconcepts1.jpg) some concept art I made today - they were adapted from tracings of Shaman King characters because I was being lazy, so they will look a bit different, but it'll give you an idea of the uniform... I kept it simple to make life easy for myself... look out for Ruri, who hasn't even had a mention so far, but I'm trying to get as many people from the forum crammed into the storyline as I can!!!!

I have some very rough concept sketches, but I'm not happy with them yet. I bought that 'how to draw giant robots' book, which will help, so in consultation with them I'll try to come up with some snazzy looking contraptions for us to clank about in.:D Don't know how mexican yours will look though... if all else fails, I'll give it some maracas...;)
Right... here's the concept story for why we're all giant robot pilots...
OK... 50 years ago, after a separatist uprising in Japan, a political stand-off resulted in a group of thousands of people going into exile from Japan. Using technology that they had developed to reclaim land from the sea, they created their own island off the east coast of the country, where they began their plot to gain revenge on the country that abandoned them. Terrorist attacks quickly escalated into a planned invasion. Despite their massively smaller population, the inhabitants of this new nation state, christened 'New Atlantis' due to it's raising from the Pacific Ocean floor, all swore themselves to wreak a terrible revenge by invading and conquering the country they saw as their oppressors. This misguided attack was initially repelled, but hostilities soon escalated until both sides were involved in a bloody and ferocious war that lasted for years. Using the latest developments in technology, giant machines piloted by human operators did battle in massed ranks across the battlefields of the Japanese/New Atlantean war.
Seeing this as a threat to the stability of worldwide politics, the rest of the world took a dim view of the struggle. While politically supporting Japan in the ethical debate, the World Union declared that unless hostilities ceased, measures would be taken to ensure that neither nation would be able to mount another full scale offensive.
Needless to say this threat did not solve the problems, and so it was that the World Union descended upon the conflict to end it themselves.
Since then, the two nations have coexisted, and tolerate each other through gritted teeth. However, a new development has put a strain on their relations - the technology keeping New Atlantis above sea level is failing, and the new generation of inhabitants seem keen to point the finger in one direction in particular...

Your robot will have the same weapons as you, okay?
Here's some more concept art I did today... it's Rory, his robot's head (robot is called Pegasus, but nicknamed Pedro...) and also the weapon that he & it wield... the Darkness Element.

I'd not planned to have magic, but it's technology based, which means that your robot could have lots of energy based attacks, including darkness. And kicking butt will definitely be your speciality, seeing as you are sensei to the 3 main characters!

and pedro is looking good too. and darkness eh? good choice of element...i like it. well done shiro. and that drawing is great aswell mysty. i am terrible at drawing so its amazing seeing how other people seem to do it so well

No art for today...:( haven't had chance, but hopefully from tomorrow, I'll hit you with some lovely sketcheroos...! Failing that, half term's on its way...!
Still... thought I'd let you know about the structure of the GRDC... (that's what we work for)... the chairman is Hogso - he commands the operations and runs the control centre, which has a radio link up to the pilots at all times. Then there's Duo, who's in charge of gathering intelligence. Apart from those two (commander and second), the pilots are divided into senior operatives (the likes of Thaxul, shimmy and Mysty, who is also sensei to the main characters), and junior operatives, like fox, Shiro and Rory...

Yep, it certainly is you... you're going to be important in the storyline, and you have some unique aspects to your character... to reflect the Duo persona you have in your own mangas!
