Deadpool is about a mercenary who had terminal cancer, but was experimented on so that he ended up with a healing factor that heals his body at about 100 times the normal rate (so he could grow back a whole leg in a few hours...)

Because of all of the crap he went through he is a nutjob, and at times the book can be quite dark, but mostly it focuses on the fact that he actually has a strong conscience, and tries to be a hero. By killing people. Very cool though - the thing that would appeal to you is the humour. It is absolutely genius. Agent X was a sub-plot to the whole thing along the same lines, but with a more complicated story.

Seriously though, it's genius - it produced lines like...

"Does anyone have any of those corn dogs with the chilli sauce already on the inside? Man, some of those would be sweet right now? Or how about some fennel-encrusted chilean sea bass?"
