I recently watched the entire series of SIGN but there were some parts of the story which i did not understand.Is it possible someone could answer these questions-
1) Who is Maho (that cat with red eyes)
2) Whats up with Tsusakas? past
3) Who is Bear (i have my suspicions)
4) What happened at the end of episode 26 (i didnt fully understand)

1) What is the purpose of Maho is he a AI or another player?
2) What does Bear do in the outside world, where does his name originate from?

1) What is the purpose of Maho is he a AI or another player?
- He is an AI who serves Morganna, and also is a part of Morganna.

2) What does Bear do in the outside world, where does his name originate from?
- I dunno about the name, but I think he is an 45 year old private detective.

3) What happened to Tsukasa in his/her past?
- He/she just had a bad childhood, his/her mother died early, his/her father couldnt raise him/her well...

4) What happened to all the characters at the end of episode 26?
- Tsukasa woke up from the coma, all the other characters except for sora are OK. Sora's player is in a coma.

SPOILERS AHEAD - for both Sign and the games... Highlight to read

1) What is the purpose of Maha is she a AI or another player?
- Not to sound picky but Maha is actually a female character. If you got the special edition of the last dvd of .hack//SIGN you will find out on the bonus disk that she is actually Mia.
2) What does Bear do in the outside world, where does his name originate from?
- I thik he is a story writer. They dropped lots of hints about that in the 5th dvd... To find out the name u'd have to watch dvd 5 in subtitles.
3) What happened to Tsukasa in his/her past?
- She had a bad childhood, her mother died early, her father couldnt raise her well...
4) What happened to all the characters at the end of episode 26?
- Tsukasa woke up from the coma, all the other characters except for sora are OK. Sora's player is in a coma.
We find out that sora recovers in the bonus disk from dvd 6 (incidently so does orca.)

One point though, i was quite certain that Bear worked for CC Corp, i thought it could have been possible for him to be that guy with the pink shirt in Liminality Ep1, because both have visited coma victims of the world, both seem to act like detectives and both smoke.

Not sure if this is too relevant but on an episode of hack//sign i watched, Bear said he was 44 years old.
