I'm extremely bored and can't sleep, as per usual, and for some reason the thought just occured to me when I saw an ad for another dothack - what are the other dothack forums out there like?
So I payed google a little trip, and here is what I found:

-There is an official one on the japanese section of www.dothack.com but it is nigh on impossible to fill out the details - and believe me I tried lol

-There is no official American forum, so most of the following fan made ones cater for them...hence there size (for the most part anyway)

-World of Dothack (http://worldofdothack.proboards35.com/index.cgi?): Only a ProBoard, but has 650+ members, and seems active enough

-dot HACK (http://p213.ezboard.com/bdothack43761): Biggest dothack forum on the web by the looks of things, almost at 800 members, and very active

-.hack @ RPGdreamers (http://www.rpgdreamersforum.com/index.php?showforum=93): Only a subforum of the whole RPGdreamers forum, and not that active really - only a small number posts. Nice banner tho :)

-DotHack//Forum (http://www.foren.de/system/user_Sieg.html): What appears to be the only german dothack forum - almost 90 members, fairly small

-The World (http://s4.invisionfree.com/657328/index.php?act=idx): An brand spanking new invision board (and the reason I thought of this - the creator of this forum nicked my dothack banner a few weeks ago on ACF) only 4 members thus far

-DotHack Network (http://groups.msn.com/DotHackNetwork/messageboard): Part of the MSN dothack group, doesnt look overly active, but alot of content

-.hack//Community BBS (http://www.theworldbbs.com/): About as big as our forum I think, very active too

-Dot Hack Sign RPG (http://dothackdude.proboards22.com/): Dead as a proverbial dead thing - but THEDEVIL was a member there lol, he made the last post ;)

-AHD's .hack message board (http://www.mylinuxisp.com/~blkhrtll/phpbb2/viewforum.php?f=10&sid=89708c91c9851c42a843c61a5633c11d): Only a sub forum, and doesnt seem too active of late

The GameFAQs boards that cater for the dothack games have been getting less and less active recently, especially for the older games, but the 'dothack social' boards are still going strong.

Also, I found that google doesnt have our forum as one of its results, which is a shame, but nevermind!

Well I would of been going to sleep, but I just found THE BEST DOTHACK THING EVER!! !MORE WHEN I CAN ARSED TO POST IT COS IM HAVING TOO MUCH FUN NOW!!
And I wont be getting any sleep till about 6am by the looks...*sigh*

I remember seeing quite a few other .hack forums on my travels too, but I think i'm happy enough with this one.

And I've never actually searched for any other dothack forums, so this is the only one I've ever found my way into to!

Its a really cool japanese chat program thing - you have an avatar on screen (a character sprite) that you can walk around with...theres 2 different servers (can't remember the names of them), you can go to a few different fields...and theres a dungeon in one, but I have no clue what to do there lol. And theres this thing where you enter a random combination to go to special places at the chaos gate...oooooo
Oh, and you get a room yourself too, which you can put furniture in that you get from chests and shop keepers and stuff :)
It gives a really authentic .hack feel, as most people use .hack sprites as there avs, and all the music is right, etc, etc...
It is almost entirely in japanese, so takes abit of getting used too...but there were a few helpful english people on there when I first went on, so I think I have the hang of it now!
I think I'd stumbled on it a few months back, but couldnt get my head round it, but I was on it for quite a while yesterday, and it was cool! :D

There are a few translated parts, so registering is pretty easy, and also some of the buttons will tell you the english meaning if you hold your cursor over it :)
So there it is! If enough people are interested, I could do a little FAQ *shrugs*

Its fun! There was one person who was helping me, and had a naked avatar! :O And all the japanese doods on there got angry! ...at least I think they did...they made super uber flashy angry looking kanji anyway :)
